In recognizing the curvature of the spine , I can begin to see disparities in the skeletal structures as well as muscle disparities. This will link the conformation of the whole horse as I observe these structures from the top /down  and  from the bottom /up. I  believe that the foot is the slave to the conformation of the horse. Any disparities in theses structures can be observed by a train eye and can help to  determine what can be done to promote soundness. Orthopedics with proper trimming than can be obtained.

Proper trimming achieved

King's quotes

1.    “Horse should land toe-center.  If Lateral toe distorts outward( toe flare) the Medial heel will be overloaded, will notice fetlock sinking to inside.”
2.    “A flare in excess of a limb’s inner and outer plumb lines will create a negative lever for break- over and  cause direct stress to fetlock.”
3.    “When I look at a horse I view him as having four corners…these four corners should move the moving parts.  Where the four limb junctions are located is were these corners exist”
4.    “Hocks and Fetlocks should move together…they are partners of forward motion”
5.    “”A forward positioning of knees and fetlocks also important so that the horse can travel straight.”
6.    “You will find yourself relying less and less on the measure of a foot, as you proceed to notice the influence of the horse’s top line.”
7.    “ Oftentimes, Heel flares will narrow a horses stance.”
